How a BIN Cigar Is Made

Every premium cigar is born of a long journey of precision, patience and handcraft. From the nursery to the final box, every stage builds the flavour, aroma, character and quality that make a BIN cigar.

Stage One

Seeding

Every premium cigar begins its journey long before the first draw — it begins in the nursery. Selected tobacco seed is raised under controlled conditions, tended with care and prepared to grow strong before it is ever moved to the field.

This is where the foundation of quality is laid. From a small seed comes the potential for the flavour, aroma and character that will one day define a BIN cigar — proof that a fine cigar always begins with attention to the earliest detail.

Stage Two

Planting

Once strong enough, the seedlings are moved to the field, where they grow together with the soil, air, sunlight and climate of Jember. Through planting, each plant is tended patiently so that it yields leaves that are healthy, ripe and full of natural character.

This stage is not merely about planting — it is about building identity. From the earth of Jember, the tobacco leaf absorbs a richness of nature that will later shape the flavour, aroma and signature of a handmade premium cigar.

Stage Three

Harvesting

Harvesting is the moment the tobacco leaf is picked at its finest ripeness. The leaves are never taken all at once; each one is chosen with care by colour, size, texture and the natural readiness of the plant.

Here, experience and precision matter greatly — a single decision in choosing a leaf can shape the final character of the cigar, from the strength of its flavour and its aroma to its balance as it is enjoyed.

Stage Four

Curing

After the harvest, the leaves enter a natural curing process. They are hung and allowed to change slowly through time, air and carefully kept humidity.

This process helps form the colour, the base aroma and the early character of the tobacco. Here the leaf leaves its fresh form behind and gradually becomes the raw material ready to carry depth of flavour into a premium cigar.

Stage Five

Fermentation

Fermentation is one of the most important stages in the journey of the tobacco. Through it, the leaf matures naturally — softening its sharpness, refining its aroma and building a more complex character.

Under careful watch, the tobacco is stacked, its temperature controlled, and left to work together with time. It shows how patience and the right control can turn a tobacco leaf into a material of high value, with a smoother and more matured flavour.

Stage Six

Sorting

After curing and fermentation, the tobacco leaves are sorted one by one. Each leaf is separated by colour, size, texture, elasticity and quality, because every part plays a different role in the structure of a cigar.

Sorting is the decisive stage of selection. Only the leaves that meet the highest standard continue the journey to the next process. Here, precision is the key to keeping the flavour, appearance and quality of a BIN cigar consistent.

Stage Seven

Filling

Filling is the stage where the character of the flavour begins to be shaped. Filler leaves are chosen and arranged as the core of the cigar, creating a balanced composition of aroma, strength, flavour and burning time.

Every blend demands a deep understanding of each leaf. From this combination comes a complete smoking experience — from the first draw, through the evolving flavour in the middle, to a finish that leaves an impression.

Stage Eight

Bunching

Once the filler leaves are arranged, a binder leaf is used to wrap and hold the structure of the cigar together. This stage determines the shape, density, airflow and burning balance of the cigar.

In the hands of an experienced roller, the cigar begins to take its form. The process shows craftsmanship at work — not simply wrapping a leaf, but building a precise structure for a flawless smoke.

Stage Nine

Wrapping

Wrapping is the most visual and most delicate stage of making a cigar. A chosen wrapper leaf becomes the outer layer, giving the final appearance and premium touch, and shaping much of the aroma and character of the flavour.

This process demands high precision, a steady hand and respect for every single leaf — because for a premium cigar, outer beauty and inner quality must go hand in hand.

Stage Ten

Packaging

After the whole long journey, the cigar reaches its final stage: packaging. Each cigar is inspected, arranged and packed neatly to preserve its quality, humidity, aroma and appearance until it reaches the connoisseur.

Packaging is not only about the box — it is about protecting the result of the entire journey. From seed to cigar, every detail is cared for so that the final experience still reflects the standard, identity and pride of BIN Cigar.
